About Our Team

In 2008, John and Kelly formed Mountain Sun Homes with the intention of focusing on constructing LEED certified houses in the Old Cutter Subdivision in Hailey. LEED certified houses conform to high standards for energy efficiency, as well as low environmental impact during the construction process. John and Kelly take pride in Mountain Sun Home's commitment to green building practices, intelligent and sensible design, as well as high quality construction delivered in a specified time frame.


Projects in Progress

Old Cutters and Mountain Sun Homes are offering various house options on a variety of lot sizes. All homes will be Energy Star certified with the option of LEED for Homes certification. All houses have a wide range of finish options such as Paper Stone countertops, bamboo flooring, Kohler plumbing fixtures or other environmental, or healthy upgrade options. Our Team

John Campbell

John graduated from Williams College in 1984. Prior to founding Mountain Sun Homes, John owned and operated a communications company in the Caribbean, then moved to Idaho in 2000 where he started JLC Construction. Since then, John has been involved with various communication companies and real estate developments.

Kelly Kipling

Kelly has lived in the Wood River Valley since 1989. She graduated from the University of California - Irvine
